'When God initially spoke to us about planting a church, the only piece of our vision we were sure of was that we wanted it to be a 'racially diverse and unified church,'' Pastor Jake says. Since September 2018, when church planters Jacob (Jake) and Jacky Wirth launched Brave Church in Milwaukee, 16 people have made a commitment to Christ! The congregation currently meets for weekly services at Milwaukee Lutheran High School. Funeral services and a Celebration of Brave's Life will follow at 2:00pm with the Rev. Traditional services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday with Alton Sonny Smart officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, February 8th from 10:00am until the time of the service. A traditional family feast with the Red River Singers will follow. Viewing for immediate family will begin at 4:00pm with community viewing at 5:00pm. A Parish Wake Service will be held on Friday, February 7th at the Lutheran Church of the Wilderness located at N9157 Moh He Con Nuck Road, Bowler, WI. A 12 day fire has been kindled at the Molly & Lloyd Miller residence located at W13350 River Road, Bowler and will continue until the time of the funeral.

Occum was preceded in death by his step-father, Charles L. Occum is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. Miller of Milwaukee his former wife, Heather Isham 5 sisters, Charlicia (Thomas) Lane, Birchilai, KeminaLee, NanPeiLyn and Ashle Jane Glover and a brother, Charles L. Occum is survived by: his mother, Patricia D. Besides living in Nova Scotia, Canada, Occum's travels included visits to Italy, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, London England and Israel with his mother as well as Hawaii, Tahiti, Bora Bora, Monaco and several places in the United States. His working career as an engineer included employment with WI Electric, Briggs & Stratton and Rockwell Automation. During the 1970's, Occum served in the United States Navy as a supervisor of Telecommunications-Military Intelligence aboard the USS Independence CV-62. Although Occum lived most of his life in the Milwaukee area, he last made his home in Puerto Rico where he spent time enjoying the tropics.

Born on Jin Shawano, he was the son of Patricia D. Occum Brave Isham, age 58 of Milwaukee, passed away Tuesday, Januin Tennessee.
